Translation process description:
A translation in the selected language combination will be done by a native speaker of target language. One of the important requirements for translator selection is translator's experience in the subject field of translation. Translation will be estimated by native speaking proofreader of target language according to quality control procedures. In case if the quality control shows a necessity of proofreading, it will be done by another native speaking linguist with knowledge of the subject field. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures. A translation in the selected language combination will be done by a professional translator of target language. However, there is no available native speaking translators for the selected languages. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the target language having experience in the subject field of translation obligatory. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures. There is no possibility to arrange direct translation from the selected source language into target language. That is why the translation process is divided into two phases. The first phase is translation from source language into an intermediate language. The translator will be qualified native speaking translator of the intermediate language having knowledge and experience in the subject field of translation. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the intermediate language obligatory. After obligatory proofreading the text in intermediate language is handed over to the native speaking translator of selected target language. Phase 2 ends with obligatory proofreading by native speaking proofreader of target language having experience in the subject field of translation. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures.

Availability

Being available is a part of Freelanguage approach.

To Freelanguage, availability is recognised to be something more than simply increasing the number of working hours per day. The concept of availability at Freelanguage is underlined by the following principles:

  1. To respond to customer enquiries as soon as possible without affecting the quality of that response (a response to any query should be informative and accurate. If we need more time to gather information, the customer is informed that we have received their enquiry, however, more time is required to give an accurate response);
  2. During Freelanguage working hours the time taken to respond to an enquiry should not exceed 30 minutes (if this is not enough time to give an accurate and informative answer — see Principle 1. of our Availability Concept, or if an enquiry is received out of hours — the first 1.5 hours of the next working day are to be spent on responding to such enquiries);
  3. To be available to communicate with via a range of different options (technological developments have spawned a wide variety of different methods of communication and the Freelanguage team like to use the facilities preferred by our customers);
  4. To maintain the availability of either in-house or freelance translators and specialists (we follow approved instructions to stay in touch with contractors and prepare them to receive urgent tasks);
  5. To say 'Yes!' more. (Freelanguage team is available to carry out complex and sophisticated projects and welcome the challenge of short deadlines and fast turnaround times);
  6. Time management. Any organisation (working according to schedule, with a schedule for each working day, following the schedule, trying to be preventive) that cannot complete a task in time must try to inform its customer as early as possible);
  7. Saving you time and the team time by keeping everyone informed regarding availability (Not available for new tasks? Too much work in hand?) — help others and avoid wasting time by reducing needless calls.

An important principle of the Freelanguage work process is that every customer is given an account manager responsible for all the projects for that customer.

To assist easy cooperation the account manager will provide the customer with the means of making urgent contact, such as a mobile number, personal email address, Skype and any other means of communication required.

A significant aspect of Freelanguage Availability Concept is our willingness to process requests requiring an inventive approach, to develop new agreeable solutions, including the use of new software, to search for specialists in the required language even when that language is not on our list, and to follow and study new work technologies used by our customers.

All of this can be summed up and represented in a simple statement: Freelanguage always strives to meet the various requirements of all our customers.

We are always available for customers to visit the office, which is located at: Rua Jose Lins do Rego 3D, 1700-262, Lisbon, Portugal.
