Phone call support

Language barriers can be a troublesome issue. For those of our customers dealing with this situation, we have developed a phone call support service.

Some business and personal tasks often require the necessity to make a call to another country to speak to the right person. However, this can be more difficult than expected if the right person doesn't speak the caller's language. Phone call support lets Freelanguage customer to make a phone call with help of an interpreter.

This is arranged as follows:

  1. A customer gives us the outline of their task, detailing the background, purpose, target, questions and desired result of a phone-call.
  2. This task is then assigned to a translator, who is usually resident in the target country.
  3. The translator studies the task and then makes a call to required destination or destinations.
  4. They explain that the call is being done by a Freelanguage translator on behalf of the customer.
  5. After each call a report is provided to the customer.
  6. After getting the report a new task may be sent to the translator to call the contact again and continue the conversation.
According to our practice this approach helps the customer to get the desired result.

In some cases this service is rendered on permanent basis.

The caller will act in strict accordance with the customer's instructions - if required, an online consultation between the customer and the translator can be arranged by Freelanguage.

The cost of the service depends on the number and duration of calls made, the type of task given, and the time spent studying the task and processing information for the report. The estimate and final calculation are made according to the agreed rate per hour. For some projects it is more cost effective to agree a fixed budget for the whole project.

Every customer report includes information about the duration of calls and the total time spent on the project. Transparency of reporting, calculations made and time spent gives the customer control over work and expenses at every stage of implementing the project.

Freelanguage confidentiality and non-disclosure policy requires the deletion of all the materials sent for costing in the case that the customer has rejected the offer or in the case that we have not received a reply in the 24 hours following the provision of the estimate/offer to the customer.
