Translation process description: A translation in the selected language combination will be done by a native speaker of target language. One of the important requirements for translator selection is translator's experience in the subject field of translation. Translation will be estimated by native speaking proofreader of target language according to quality control procedures. In case if the quality control shows a necessity of proofreading, it will be done by another native speaking linguist with knowledge of the subject field. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures. A translation in the selected language combination will be done by a professional translator of target language. However, there is no available native speaking translators for the selected languages. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the target language having experience in the subject field of translation obligatory. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures. There is no possibility to arrange direct translation from the selected source language into target language. That is why the translation process is divided into two phases. The first phase is translation from source language into an intermediate language. The translator will be qualified native speaking translator of the intermediate language having knowledge and experience in the subject field of translation. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the intermediate language obligatory. After obligatory proofreading the text in intermediate language is handed over to the native speaking translator of selected target language. Phase 2 ends with obligatory proofreading by native speaking proofreader of target language having experience in the subject field of translation. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures.

Transcript

Transcript is a service where recorded speech is converted into text.

Transcript is required where you need to be able to work with conversation text, or to analyse lots of recorded data saved in the form of audio or video files.

Transcript services are widely used for processing phone-call survey data, preparing meeting minutes and processing video content.

The recordings are sent to be transcribed by a native-speaking translator of the language being used in them.

The output format can simply be a script written in the language used in the recording, or, if required, it can be provided as a translation in the language of the customer's choice. Replies are marked with labels (for example: voice_1), and a brief description of the labels is given in a legend to the script.

At the customer's request, each reply or portion of speech can be given a time code to make it easier to locate when playing back.

Freelanguage offers Transcript as a service available in all languages.

Volume of work is estimated in minutes (1 minute and 29 seconds count as 1 minute: 1 minute and 30 seconds count as 2 minutes).

The price per minute depends on:

The language used in the recordings
The quality of the recording (sound, volume, clarity)
The type of speech (monologue, dialogue, polylogue)
Background noise (indoors/outdoors)
The presence of vulgarities and abusive lexis
The topic of conversation

If you require the script to be translated into another language, the cost of this translation will be estimated based on the word count of the script and the rate per word for the corresponding language.

Freelanguage and its contractors bear no responsibility for content of any recordings provided and only render a quality transcript service to the customer. However, Freelanguage and its contractors retain the right to refuse to transcribe any recordings on moral grounds. According to Portuguese legislation, at the lawful demand of any relevant authority, recordings, scripts and customer details will be provided without any consent or notification of the customer.

Freelanguage confidentiality and non-disclosure policy requires the deletion of all the materials sent for costing in the case that the customer has rejected the offer or in the case that we have not received a reply in the 24 hours following the provision of the estimate/offer to the customer.
