Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures. A translation in the selected language combination will be done by a professional translator of target language. However, there is no available native speaking translators for the selected languages. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the target language having experience in the subject field of translation obligatory. That is why the translation process is divided into two phases. The first phase is translation from source language into an intermediate language. The translator will be qualified native speaking translator of the intermediate language having knowledge and experience in the subject field of translation. To maintain high level of quality the translation will be proofread by native speaking proofreader of the intermediate language obligatory. After obligatory proofreading the text in intermediate language is handed over to the native speaking translator of selected target language. Phase 2 ends with obligatory proofreading by native speaking proofreader of target language having experience in the subject field of translation. Before final delivery, the translation passes through quality assurance procedures.

Project management

We like to define a project carried out by Freelanguage as the customer task and requirements for one or several services that we offer, all the materials provided in connection with the task in hand, the work and its implementation and the results of the completed project.

In order to manage it, every project record has a unique number and is registered in the Freelanguage project log (Freelanguage project database).

Each project record holds information on the date the project was accepted, its completion date, the service or services provided under the project framework, the cost (in units agreed with the customer) and any other information on the project including details of all the team members who have been assigned to carry it out.

All Freelanguage team members are given access to information on each project, however, different data sets are available to different team members according to their individual participation in the project.

Team members are divided into groups according to their functions: customer services, the production department and management. Each group focuses on a specific set of tasks and has its own level of access to project information.

The customer support team consists of all the customer account managers. Each customer account manager is responsible for handling customer enquiries, the preliminary project analysis, estimating the work involved and preparing costings, accepting projects and negotiating with customers. A customer account manager is the line of communication between the production department and the client.

Account manager liabilities include but are not limited to keeping the customer updated about the status of a project and fielding any queries that might arise while work is being carried out.

In their turn, project managers work with translators, proofreaders and other specialists. Any queries will be transmitted to them by the customer account managers, and they will then provide the replies to such queries.

Most technical issues can be resolved within the production department without having to revert to the customer, however, there may be particular questions or a need for information that has to be addressed to the customer. In this case, the customer account manager will revert directly to the customer.

Company management tasks encompass supervision of processes, billing and accounting, workflow coordination and distribution and evaluating teamwork.

We base our evaluation of team results on the quality of the service we are able to provide, how well we can fulfill customer requirements, and the way in which both individual account managers and the team as a whole deal with customers.

The key to successful project management is the efficient structuring of internal processes and the personnel responsible for each and every part of a project.
